This song is downright transcendent:

Here's a new old discovery. We just went to see the stage version of Green Day's "American Idiot" 2004 album at Berkeley Rep. I was blown away. I picked up the CD a few days ago to prep myself, and I can't stop listening to it. I always thought Green Day was cutesy-punk, but listening to it this time I realize how melodic Billie Joe's vocals are. Turns out he grew up singing Broadway tunes, which is probably why he has such a gift for crafting really pretty vocal melodies. Plus, the lyrics, supremely political, are really engaging. Big thumbs up.

The Tonto post is by far the best thing to come from this season!

Unfortunately the best A's player this season for Wap-a-pap didn't start playing until he became part of Larussa's gang.

This might be the funniest A's fan post I've seen:

I guess I vote for MJ's mom. Even though she has got to be older than dirt, it doesn't seem like the birth mom was ever in the picture. On a side note, does anyone really believe michael was involved in the conception?

Michael solo. The earlier stuff was cutesy and fun, but you can't beat his solo songs. "Wanna Be Starting Something" "The Way You Make Me Feel" "Man in the Mirror" "Billie Jean" I mean it's endless. So many different radio stations were playing his tunes, not many artists have crossover appeal like that any more.

Custody of Michael's kids: natural mother or Michael's mom?

Spock or Captain Kirk?
